  • My children basically grew up at the library. From the story hour for toddlers, Lego and Pokémon club to summer reading and weekly book check outs. I want my tax dollars to go to supporting our future generation, helping them grow up curious, and eager to learn. We need to ensure our nation has enough scientists, engineers, writers and artists in the future, and I strongly believe our Libraries are a part of the equation

  • Because of my local library and the CWMARS program, my life has been greatly enriched. Since moving to Massachusetts in 1992, I spent years borrowing books and movies to use with our growing family. When the children became adults and left us, I decided to pursue a master's degree in Children's Literature, offered by Simmons College at the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art. Beyond the textbooks that I purchased, I needed to read scores of middle grade and young adult novels, as well as literally hundreds of picture books. Without this precious resource, I would have been a grad-school dropout. Instead, I was able to accomplish this dream goal of mine. Currently, I continue to regularly check out materials--and I also enjoy an excellent book club at the library on Monday nights. Public libraries are secular temples for so many of us!

  • I am an itinerant early intervention teacher who covers a huge area of western MA. I use libraries on an almost daily basis. Depending on what town I'm in and how much time I have between student visits, I am usually in a library checking email, entering my notes, working on my caseload and schedule, and sending resources to families. Libraries are VITAL to my work and to all of our communities.

  • I have loved my local library for over 5 decades. As a child, I made it my goal to read every book in the children's department. As a young adult, I used my library for school projects and research. As an adult, I brought my own children to the library and have learned about so much more it has to offer i.e. books, magazines, music, games, dvd's and so much more in the form of activities and computer or tech help. I have been so impressed by all my library has to offer and have greatly benefitted from my many hours spent here.

  • I love my local library!!! I'm a grad student studying music & vocal performance. I was able to use my local Easthampton library on summer break to borrow resources to supplement my research to help me get my Master's in a year. The library has so many great community resources all for free! We've used it for discounted museum tickets in our area. We really love it so much and are so grateful it's here in town!
