I love that our library consortium supports Libby. Audio books are such an awesome way to bring the world to me. Non fiction, fiction, memoirs...while I mow the lawn, drive, cook, clean, run.

My roommate and I have loved visiting our local library during our time living in Amesbury. Not only have I been encouraged to branch out into different genres of literature, but also I've had the opportunity to play games, watch movies, and work puzzles that I never would have had access to otherwise. Thank you to the wonderful staff and donors who make knowledge and fun accessible to the community.

The library has been an valuable resource to me. It’s allowed me to always access the hobbies I love when I have had little to no financial resources to spare.

As a kid, I spent countless hours reading, often devouring multiple books at one time. Books were the way my world expanded, how I learned to empathize with and appreciate people of all kinds, and they fostered my love of writing. Now, as an adult, I find myself still gravitating towards stories as vehicles of hope and joy, reminders that the world is so much bigger than it sometimes seems, and that the human capacity for love, hope, courage, and change is astoundingly large. My library has provided me with an unending source of books and audiobooks, as well as many other useful tools that have connected me to my community and area! I wouldn't be able to afford to buy all the books that I read. The library ensures that cost does not create a barrier to access.

I’m a frequent user of the Amesbury MA Library! The staff is amazing, everyone is friendly, helpful, and creates a safe space for the town. I read ALOT and being able to borrow books saves me SO much money, plus it’s better for the environment. My kids love going to spend time doing arts&crafts, playing with all the cool toys and picking up new reads for bedtime. Thank APL, we LOVE you!!

Thank goodness for our public library! A recent illness left me bed bound - reading books on my Kindle and watching movies from Hoopla have saved the day! Such great services. Thank you!

I love our historic library, the architecture feels so cozy and beautiful and the there are so many programs and activities for the community. My grandmother was the story time reader for 30 years and they took care of her book needs until the day she died.

Our library makes it possible for my great grandchildren to read as much as they want to. They are thrilled every time we say we are going to the library. We could never afford to purchase the number of books that they check out and read from the library, because they devour books so quickly! Also, the children's programs at our library (Amesbury) are exciting and engaging, and encourage them to read even more, and read new and different books. My 8 year old great granddaughter reads at least 2 hours a day, and that is made possible by Massachusetts Libraries. We also check out games from our library that bring our family together in joyful quality time. Words cannot express how much the library enhances our lives, and our time together. Thank you.

I have a memory of getting my first library card, when I was old enough to go to the library I felt so smart every time I walked out of how I was able to learn something new or research about anything I wanted to know about. My love for that library and the many others I have gone to, have given me knowledge to use and share. My children love to read, their children love to read and learn. Passes to the Aquarium,& The children's museum. To this day, I make it my special place where I continue to go and grow.

I often go in planning to pick up 1 book for my child and walk out with a whole bag of books, movies and games for the whole family. I love all that my library has to offer in terms of programming. It is truly at the heart of my community.

My family and I are constantly at the library. We take advantage of borrowing books, movies, games, puzzles, snowshoes, a telescope, museum passes, and in person programs for adults and kids. It has greatly enriched our lives. The Amesbury public library is amazing!

The Amesbury public library is a great place. My children love going and getting books, especially over the summer break and doing the Amesbury library reading summer program.

I absolutely love the library and the role it’s played in my life. Growing up it’s where I practiced learning how to read. As a teen, I could study and check out books for free vs buying them which saved my parents a whole lot of money. As an adult, I use Libby religiously as I listen to audio books and read kindle books daily while I commute and at work. I read about a book a week sometimes 2 thanks to Libby’s quick service and wide book selection.

I love my library because of how friendly and welcoming it is.
