  • I cannot imagine the Charlton library( or any libraries) loosing its funding. Not only do I visit, get books, puzzles and magazines that help me discern decision making on products but I have an endless of reading material that I use daily on my kindle. I spend a great deal of time in the children’s room with my granddaughter who is now 22 months. Because of the library and its story time my granddaughter cannot get enough of books and reading. The library is safe, fun and nurturing to all people. Please SAVE OUR LIBRARIES!!!! Barbara Perron Charlton

  • There are very few manmade places in the world that are truly, one hundred percent win-wins -- and libraries are one of them. Libraries provide literally millions of books, movies, and games to the public across the globe, with no cost to their patrons at all -- but they're more than that. Libraries are also safe spaces; they are welcoming and free communities for anyone to join, refuges for people struggling to find employment or sanctuary or comfort. And these days, libraries have expanded their services even more, including everything from movie showings to concerts to craft lessons to exercise classes. I truly cannot think of a better public space than a library, for any one, of any age or circumstance.

  • The Charlton Public Library was the first place I visited when I moved to town. Public libraries are the heart of every community and a place to find learning, peace and friendship. We must all take the time and effort to support the future funding of our libraries for our children and our communities. Once they are gone, we will regret our inaction.
