I love to use the Libby app on my Kindle to support my local libraries and save money on books!

My whole life, libraries have been my refuge, from conflicts in my parents house, a way to read books I could not afford and later, at college, a quiet place to learn. I go to my local BPL on Boylston Street, every week and am heartened and delighted by the variety of users, and visitors it receives. I see myself in the children and young teens, who can now access so many tools for learning and enrichment. Thank you libraries everywhere, especially, in Bosyon, MA.

Seventy years ago, when I was in high school, I came into Boston to do research for my term papers at the BPL in Copley Square. Now that I'm an old lady, I'm happy to live about a block from the Roslindale branch, where I can pick up novels I've put on hold, saving me from traveling to the branches where they are shelved; enjoy the art exhibits on display in the meeting room; smile at the little kids who have come for storytime with Miss Celeste; and help the Friends of the Library organize the used book sales. The BPL has been a significant part of my life for a long time!
